New Delhi, June 20 (NationPress) In a notable operation, Tilak Marg Police apprehended three individuals involved in theft and recovered six stolen mobile devices, a dummy pistol, and a scooter linked to various criminal acts, as reported by an official on Friday.
The suspects have been named as Arbaz (22) from Sarai Kale Khan, Pankaj Mourya (22) from Jungpura, and Rahul Bagh (26) from Chirag Delhi.
According to a statement from the Delhi Police, they seized six stolen mobile phones, a dummy pistol, and the scooter utilized in the crimes from the arrested individuals.
The police revealed that the suspects had been selling the stolen phones on e-commerce sites, employing fake Aadhaar cards and forged invoices.
The case gained traction following a report from a Blinkit delivery personnel, who claimed his mobile phone was stolen while he was delivering an order on Pandara Road.
The thieves deceived him by feigning an online payment before absconding with his device. An E-FIR (No. 80056549/2025) was lodged under Section 303(2) BNS at PS Tilak Marg on June 13, 2025.
A specialized team led by SI Kamlesh Kumar and supported by HC Sanjeet Kumar, Ct. Jhabbar Mal, and Ct. Ram Tyagi operated under the guidance of SHO Gurmail Singh and ACP Nageen Kaushik to resolve the case.
CCTV evidence depicted the criminals escaping on a scooter. Insights from Blinkit orders and internet activity logs enabled police to track one suspect to Sarai Kale Khan, although he had vacated the location a month prior.
Through technical monitoring and informants, authorities were able to locate the trio at a rented residence in Chhatarpur.
To date, three E-FIRs from Tilak Marg, Kalkaji, and Vasant Kunj South, along with one lost report from Sunlight Colony, have been resolved in conjunction with these arrests.
