New Delhi, Nov 25 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva announced on Tuesday that the Rekha Gupta administration is dedicated to implementing a monthly allowance for women, with all qualified beneficiaries in the capital city expected to receive it shortly.
A dedicated committee has been established to expedite the process, and the guidelines for accessing this women’s allowance will be revealed soon, he added.
Sachdeva highlighted that in just nine months, the BJP has gained significant credibility in Delhi through initiatives such as waiving surcharges on water bills, issuing GST refunds, launching new DTC buses, enhancing the Pink Ticket scheme, building over 75 Aryogya Swasth Mandirs, and increasing old-age pension assistance.
“Women are confident that they will soon start receiving the women’s allowance as well,” he remarked.
He further stated that the Congress party has lost its relevance in both Delhi and national politics.
During the upcoming November 30 MCD by-elections, Congress's campaign seems limited to press conferences, with most candidates absent from local engagements.
The President of Delhi Congress, while criticizing the BJP’s promise of a women’s allowance as a mere joke, is simply trying to maintain relevance, though this will not aid them in the elections.
“Women in Delhi are well aware that the BJP is committed to providing the women’s allowance, and the nomination of Rekha Gupta as Chief Minister along with fielding women candidates in 8 out of 12 wards in the current by-elections serves as a testament to this,” he stated.
In a different context, the Delhi BJP acknowledged that while pollution levels in the city remain concerning, this is partly due to the Arvind Kejriwal government’s negligence over the past 11 years in addressing pollution control.
Spokespersons Anil Gupta and Neoma Gupta noted that pollution levels in Delhi are slightly better than in previous years, but substantial work is still needed for improvement.
BJP representatives condemned AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bhardwaj for making baseless accusations against the Delhi government, emphasizing that the body responsible for investigating and reporting AQI operates independently, and such allegations only serve to further AAP’s politicized agenda, undermining the impartiality of the Election Commission.
