New Delhi, March 3 (NationPress) Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced on Monday that the Budget 2025-26 for the national capital will be unveiled between March 24 and March 26.

During a press conference, the Delhi CM emphasized her government's dedication to meeting the expectations of the city's residents.

"The citizens of Delhi granted our party a full majority. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, we are committed to enhancing the city's growth and welfare," she declared.

She highlighted the necessity of inclusive governance, encouraging participation from all community sections in the budgeting process.

"For comprehensive progress, we need to involve everyone and integrate their feedback into the budget. Our Sankalp Patra has pinpointed crucial areas such as financial support for women, expansion of healthcare, enhancement of public transport, pollution control, job creation, educational improvements, provision of affordable nutrition for the underprivileged, welfare for senior citizens, and cleaning of the Yamuna river. These priorities will guide the budget," she asserted.

Moreover, she revealed plans to engage stakeholders for budget insights -- on March 5, representatives from women’s organizations and the education sector will be welcomed at the Assembly, followed by business and industrial leaders submitting their recommendations on March 6.

She added that ministers and MLAs will also connect with individuals from rural areas, agricultural communities, youth, and education sectors to collect their opinions.

CM Gupta also noted that during the Assembly session on Monday, the CAG report on Delhi's health sector would be presented, revealing alleged financial irregularities from the prior AAP-led government.

Criticizing the AAP, she stated, "They obstructed the presentation of the CAG report for years, but now their wrongdoings are coming to light. Only two reports have been presented so far, with 12 more pending. The people of Delhi are witnessing their deceit under the guise of honesty."

She also called on the Opposition to engage constructively in Assembly discussions, saying, "Our MLAs will debate the findings, and I urge the opposition to participate meaningfully instead of hindering the process."
