BJP's Promises to Women: Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Delivers
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 2 (NationPress) Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva announced on Monday that during Holi 2025, the BJP appointed a fearless woman as Chief Minister for Delhi. By Holi 2026, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has made certain that millions of eligible women and girls in Delhi benefit from government initiatives, including free gas cylinders, Lakhpati Bitiya, and the Pink Bus Card.
He further mentioned that the committee established to execute the Women’s Monthly Honorarium Scheme is nearing the final decision phase, with the rollout expected soon.
Sachdeva pointed out that AAP leader and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is accountable not just to the women of Delhi but also to those in Punjab.
He emphasized that while the BJP government in Delhi has fulfilled three-fourths of its commitments to women within a year and is completing the process for the Women’s Honorarium, the Punjab government led by Kejriwal has misled women in Punjab over the past four years.
“The promise of providing Rs 1,000 monthly to women in Punjab remains unfulfilled,” noted Sachdeva.
He expressed optimism that the BJP would deliver on all its Assembly election commitments before the Municipal Corporation elections in 2027.
Earlier in the day, Sachdeva led Holi festivities at the city unit office with party members and media representatives.
Offering Holi wishes to the citizens of Delhi, he remarked that the past year has seen a significant transformation, and the city’s reputation is set to improve even more in the coming year.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the government and the organization are tirelessly working for the public.
Sachdeva criticized Kejriwal, who tried to exonerate himself under a lower court’s leniency, stating that the people of Delhi have rejected him and will no longer be deceived.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that under PM Modi’s guidance, the government has gained new momentum in its commitment to women’s empowerment.
She mentioned that the groundwork for development projects is continually being laid in Delhi, and after Holi, work on these initiatives will speed up.
