New Delhi, March 9 (NationPress) The Delhi Lieutenant Governor (L-G), V.K. Saxena, along with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, officially unveiled the newly constructed 'Shri Parth-Sarathi Rath' located at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg adjacent to Delhi Gate.
This artistic masterpiece was designed and developed by the Delhi Public Works Department (PWD).

According to the L-G, a dedicated team worked tirelessly for approximately seven to eight months to bring this impressive installation to life.
He remarked that the Parth-Sarathi Rath not only stands out visually but is also engineered for longevity, boasting an estimated lifespan of around 50 years.
The L-G commended the entire PWD team for their successful execution of the project, recognizing their commitment and hard work.
He noted that such artistic installations not only enhance the city's aesthetic appeal but also serve as captivating landmarks for both residents and tourists.
Chief Minister Gupta mentioned that the Delhi Gate-Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg area holds significant historical and cultural value.
She added that the concept of the Shri Parth-Sarathi Rath was created with this heritage in mind, aimed at further enhancing the identity and visual allure of the location.
The Chief Minister stated that delivering clean and visually pleasing public spaces is among the primary goals of the Delhi government.

The chariot has been constructed using robust 10 mm thick 316-grade stainless steel plates.
Measuring approximately 30 feet by 20 feet, the installation weighs around 5,500 kg.
To enhance its presence at night, the installation features 12 spotlights and 12 floodlights.
Landscaping and horticultural enhancements have also been implemented in the nearby area to elevate the overall appearance of the site.
