Bhopal, May 13 (NationPress) Senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Digvijaya Singh, stated on Tuesday that the collective stance against terrorism has enabled the Indian government and Armed Forces to deliver a robust response to Pakistan.
He noted that India's intelligence capabilities provided precise information, which facilitated the Armed Forces in identifying and successfully achieving their objectives.
Commending both the Indian government and the Armed Forces, Singh asserted that through strategic strikes, India has effectively dismantled terrorist camps and training facilities in Pakistan, marking a brave initiative.
“It is heartening to witness the entire nation uniting to voice its opposition against terrorism. With the backing of the populace, the Indian government and Army have resolutely confronted and retaliated,” Singh remarked during an interview with IANS in Bhopal.
Simultaneously, he questioned the involvement of US President Donald Trump in mediating between India and Pakistan and taking credit for the ceasefire.
“If India's military action against Pakistan was aimed at combating terrorism, why did Trump interject the Kashmir issue into the discussion?” he queried.
“The Opposition is demanding a special session of Parliament, and the Indian government must clarify Trump's intervention,” Singh emphasized.
During an impactful address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that Operation Sindoor represents India's latest strategy against terrorism.
PM Modi also clarified that India had momentarily halted its retaliatory measures against Pakistan's terrorist and military targets while maintaining vigilant oversight of Pakistan’s activities.
In his national address, PM Modi conveyed a strong and clear message to Pakistan, reiterating India’s commitment to combating terrorism and holding Pakistan accountable for its role in perpetuating terror across borders.
