New Delhi/Dubai, April 7 (NationPress) Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, will embark on a two-day visit to India starting Tuesday at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Monday.
This marks Sheikh Hamdan's inaugural official visit to India in his capacity as Crown Prince of Dubai, accompanied by a delegation of ministers, senior officials, and a high-profile business group.
Prime Minister Modi will host a working lunch for the esteemed guest on Tuesday, and the Crown Prince is scheduled to meet with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Following his time in Delhi, the Crown Prince will travel to Mumbai and engage in a business roundtable with leading business figures from both nations. This interaction aims to enhance India-UAE economic and commercial cooperation across both traditional and emerging sectors.
Dubai has historically played a vital role in India’s commercial, cultural, and people-to-people exchanges with the UAE. EAM Jaishankar had extended the Prime Minister's invitation to the Crown Prince to visit India during his trip to the UAE on January 27-29 this year.
