New Delhi, April 8 (NationPress) The Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, is set to arrive in India on Tuesday for a two-day official visit, following an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit is significant as it marks Sheikh Hamdan's inaugural official trip to India in his role as the Crown Prince of Dubai. Accompanying him will be a delegation of ministers, senior government officials, and a distinguished group of business representatives.

Prime Minister Modi will welcome the Crown Prince at a working lunch on Tuesday, during which the Crown Prince is anticipated to engage in discussions with External Affairs Minister (EAM) S. Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Following his stay in Delhi, the Crown Prince will travel to Mumbai, where he will participate in a business roundtable with notable business leaders from both nations. This engagement is poised to enhance India-UAE economic and commercial collaboration in both traditional and emerging sectors.

Dubai has historically played a pivotal role in fostering India's commercial, cultural, and interpersonal links with the UAE. A significant portion of India’s approximately 4.3 million expatriates in the UAE resides and works in Dubai. The presence of His Highness the Crown Prince during this visit is expected to further reinforce the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and deepen our multifaceted relationship with Dubai,” stated the MEA.

EAM Jaishankar extended Prime Minister Modi's invitation to the Crown Prince during his visit to the United Arab Emirates from January 27-29 earlier this year.

“I am thrilled to meet Crown Prince of Dubai and DPM and Minister of Defence of the UAE HH Hamdan Mohammed. We had a warm discussion about our profound friendship and how to advance it for the benefit of our people,” the EAM shared on X after their meeting, which further solidified India's robust and expanding economic and cultural ties with Dubai.
