New Delhi, May 21 (NationPress) The National Commission for Women (NCW), under the leadership of Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, is poised to launch an extraordinary campaign on Thursday aimed at educating and empowering millions of women in digital literacy while providing training to protect themselves from cyber threats.
The groundbreaking digital awareness initiative titled 'YASHODA AI' will commence in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh on May 22 and will feature a series of significant programs over the coming days, designed to enhance women's technological skills.
NCW chief Rahatkar will engage in a variety of programs focused on bolstering women-centric initiatives.
Launching at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly, the ‘YASHODA AI Campaign’ will provide training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and digital literacy to women in both urban and rural settings across the nation.
"The purpose of YASHODA AI (Your AI Sakhi for Shaping Horizons with Digital Awareness) is to reach every corner of our country and equip women with technical skills. In the initial phase, we aim to benefit over 200,000 women," stated the NCW.
This nationwide campaign will be conducted through schools and colleges to educate and empower women from diverse backgrounds, including members of Self Help Groups (SHGs), ASHA workers, educators, government employees, and panchayat representatives, by providing training in AI.
