Mysuru, Feb 17 (NationPress) Four members of a family, including a 15-year-old boy, were discovered deceased on Monday under suspicious circumstances in an apartment situated in the Vishvevaraishnagar area of Mysuru city in Karnataka.

The victims were identified as 45-year-old Chetan, a labour contractor, his wife 43-year-old Roopali, their son 15-year-old Kushal, and Chetan's mother 62-year-old Priyamvadha. Authorities suspect that Chetan may have poisoned the others before taking his own life.

The Mysuru City Police Commissioner, Seema Latkar, visited the scene and stated that an investigation has commenced, with the exact motive still unclear. "A family comprising a husband, wife, son, and mother was found dead. The mother was located in one flat while the others were discovered in another within the same complex.

The mother resided independently. Chetan, the family's patriarch, made a call to his brother Bharat, who lives in the US, indicating he was ending his life along with his family. Bharat immediately contacted Roopali's parents to alert them to the situation, according to the Police Commissioner.

When they arrived, the tragic incident had already occurred. They called the police at 6 a.m., prompting the Vidyaranyapuram police to respond and investigate.

According to police sources, Chetan was involved in sending workers to the Middle East and may have taken this drastic measure due to financial problems. A death note was found in the apartment, written by Chetan, stating that the family was taking this extreme action due to a financial crisis, asserting that no one else should be held accountable for their deaths.

In the note, he expressed remorse for his actions and requested that police not disturb their relatives and friends regarding their demise.

Authorities noted that Chetan placed a call to Bharat at 4 a.m., and the investigation is ongoing.
