Patna, April 16 (NationPress) Tensions have significantly heightened in the Siwan district of Bihar due to a land conflict in Jhunapur village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Mahadeva police station.

An FIR has been lodged against RJD MLA Osama Shahab, along with Sabir Miyan and Farhan Miyan, based on accusations of intimidation, vandalism, and assault.

The complaint was submitted by Sudha Singh, who asserts that she owns a plot of land (Account No. 82, Survey No. 941, measuring 11.904 decimals) located in the Mahadeva region.

Singh indicates that the conflict emerged during construction work on the property.

In her formal complaint, Singh alleged that Osama Shahab contacted her, asserting he possessed a legitimate sale deed for the same land and requested her to verify her documentation.

She reported that although she provided the necessary documents, there was no further communication.

The situation reportedly intensified when construction activities resumed.

Singh claimed that she received another call instructing her to halt the work.

“After my husband inquired about this, a group of approximately 30-35 individuals arrived soon after. They vandalized the site by destroying the CCTV cameras and committing extensive vandalism on April 14,” she reported.

Moreover, Singh alleged that on April 14, 2026, armed individuals arrived at the construction site, assaulting the laborers present, which escalated the ongoing dispute.

Sudha Singh, originally from Gopalganj, asserts that she legally acquired the land on September 7, 2024, through a registered sale deed.

She has accused the aforementioned individuals of obstructing her legal ownership and construction efforts.

Responding to her complaint, the Mahadeva Police have registered Case No. 73/26 and initiated an investigation.

Confirming the situation, Station In-charge Vineet Vinayak stated, “We have received a formal complaint concerning vandalism. An FIR has been filed, and the investigation is currently underway.”

Due to the sensitive nature and high-profile aspect of the case, the Station In-Charge is personally overseeing the investigation.

Law enforcement officials have assured that appropriate legal measures will be implemented based on the investigation's outcomes.
