Fatal Clash Erupts Over Land Dispute in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, Dec 30 (NationPress) One individual lost their life and at least three others sustained injuries during a violent altercation between two factions concerning land in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind, as reported by police on Monday.

The incident transpired in Lahchura village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Gohad police station. The conflict escalated late Sunday night when both groups began firing at one another.

The quarrel ignited from a verbal disagreement that quickly devolved into chaos, leading to the immediate death of one person. Two individuals have been hospitalized due to their injuries.

Upon notification, a police team arrived to manage the situation, followed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Asit Yadav, who ensured that a substantial police presence was established to prevent further violence.

Authorities indicated that the dispute was tied to 1,700 bighas of land located at Jadhav Farm House near the Malanpur Industrial Area. This land had long been cultivated by residents from Lahchura and Mahon villages.

Initial investigations revealed that the land's owner had sold 133 bighas to Ramnaresh Singh Sikarwar, the leader of a social organization known as Manav Seva Sansthan and Rajrajeshwari Developers.

After acquiring the property, Sikarwar designated it for residential use and began constructing a boundary.

On Sunday evening, Sikarwar's crew demolished a mustard crop to erect the boundary, which incited protests from the villagers. The situation escalated rapidly, with villagers dismantling the boundary and igniting several vehicles, including a tractor and an earthmoving machine, while also damaging three cars. As the unrest continued, both sides exchanged gunfire, resulting in the death of a farmer named Amrish Tomar and serious injuries to another individual, Santosh Sharma.

According to police statements, Sikarwar asserted that he had compensated the original landowners and accused certain villagers of demanding a higher payment.

The land was officially registered to Devendra Singh Bhadoria in April 2024, who is a resident of Etawah, Bhind, and owns properties in Gwalior. The police are actively seeking the individuals implicated in the conflict.

The situation is currently stable. Authorities are in pursuit of those who participated in the violent altercation, and they will be apprehended shortly,” stated Bhind Superintendent of Police Ashit Yadav to reporters.
