The case involves a firing incident in Mokama, where Anant is charged with multiple offenses, such as obstructing official duties, misbehaving with police, issuing threats, and creating chaos by shooting in a public space.
The case was initiated following a complaint from Prahlad Kumar Jha, the officer in charge of Panchmahala Police Station.
After Anant Singh's surrender, the case was moved from the Barh Sub-Divisional court to the special court in Patna, which handles cases concerning MPs and MLAs. Anant Singh, a contentious figure in Bihar's political landscape, is currently detained at Beur Central Jail in Patna, awaiting further judicial proceedings.
Besides the ongoing case involving Anant, three additional FIRs have been filed at Pachmahala Police Station.
One FIR was lodged against six individuals, including Sonu Singh, his sibling Monu Singh, their father Pramod Singh, mother Urmila Devi, and Dilip Singh, a resident of Dahaur village in Barh, along with another unidentified individual. The complaint was filed by Uday Yadav, a supporter of Anant Singh, who sustained injuries during a clash on Wednesday and is currently receiving treatment at Patna Medical College and Hospital.
Uday Yadav also filed a fourth FIR in this situation.
According to the FIR, Uday Yadav accused Sonu and his father Pramod of allegedly firing at him using an AK 47, which intensified the confrontation.
To date, four cases have been filed at Panchmahala Police Station linked to this series of incidents, underscoring the rising tensions among those involved.
The initial FIR was lodged by Mukesh Singh, the homeowner, who accused Sonu Singh and Monu Singh of unlawfully seizing his property.
It is claimed that Sonu and Monu locked the residence, prompting Mukesh to request intervention. Urmila Devi, Sonu Singh's mother, countered with an FIR against Anant Singh and his supporters, alleging they attacked her home during the altercation.
The police registered an FIR against Sonu, Monu, their associates, Anant, and his followers. This FIR details a scuffle with the police that transpired when officers attempted to unlock Mukesh's house.
