Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh), April 21 (NationPress) Four individuals lost their lives, and three others suffered serious injuries in a road mishap on the Neemuch-Nasirabad highway, close to the Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan state boundary.

The incident occurred when an SUV collided with a container truck, leading to a catastrophic impact that shattered the vehicle. This unfortunate event took place around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday near Rajputana Hotel within the jurisdiction of Nimbahera police station in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

The SUV, with the registration number MP 13 ZA1508, initially struck the road divider before veering out of control and crashing into the container truck traveling in the opposite direction.

According to Investigating Officer Vishwajeet from the Nimbahera police station in Rajasthan, “Four of the occupants of the vehicle have died, while three others who were critically injured were transported to a hospital in Udaipur for treatment. They have been identified as residents from various areas, including Ingoria and Narwal in Ujjain, and Badanwar in Madhya Pradesh. The force of the collision was so severe that one side of the SUV was entirely crushed.”

The police officer further mentioned that the group had set out from Ingoria village in Ujjain district and was en route to Rajasthan to visit the famous ‘Sanwalia Seth’ (Lord Krishna) temple. The accident occurred in proximity to the village of Bangred Mamadev. The driver, Rajesh, aged 30, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while attempting to navigate a sharp turn, which is believed to have contributed to the accident. Rajesh died instantly.

Among the deceased were Gaurav Pawar, 32, from Ingoria, Ujjain; Anil Bhambi, 18, from Narwal, Ujjain; and Sanjay Bhambi, 40, from Kheda, Badanwar. The injured persons -- identified as Deepak Bhambi, 39, from Urdupura, Ujjain; Sunil Balai, 28, from Shakarpur, Ujjain; and Yogesh Bhambi, 20, from Ingoria, Ujjain -- initially received treatment at a local hospital before being referred to Udaipur for more comprehensive medical care.

The families of the victims have been notified, and post-mortem examinations of the deceased have been completed. The Sanwaliaji Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is located in Madaphiya village along the Chittorgarh-Udaipur Highway in Rajasthan.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has declared an ex gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured in the accident.
