New Delhi, Sep 26 (NationPress) Emphasizing that unemployment stands as the most significant issue today, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, criticized the ongoing alleged paper leaks in staff selection examinations. He introduced a new slogan, 'Paper Chor, Gaddi Chhor' aimed at the BJP.
Gandhi expressed his support for the youth struggling with joblessness and referred to a recent paper leak incident in Uttarakhand, stating, "Today, the BJP's other name is 'Paper Chor' (paper thief)! The continuous occurrence of paper leaks nationwide has shattered the lives and aspirations of countless diligent young individuals.”
In a pointed critique of the BJP on social media platform X, he remarked, "The paper leak in Uttarakhand serves as a recent instance. Millions of youths dedicated their efforts, only to have the BJP undermine their hard work through theft."
Gandhi reproached the central government for its alleged inaction regarding paper leaks, asserting, "We have persistently called for a robust and transparent framework to avert paper leaks. However, the Modi government chooses to ignore this issue, prioritizing their power over youth unemployment."
He also condemned the government for its apparent failure to tackle the unemployment crisis. "Today, unemployment is the country’s greatest concern, directly tied to vote theft. The 'Paper Chors' understand that even if the youth remain jobless, they can maintain their power by stealing votes during elections."
He noted that the youth are taking to the streets, chanting, "Paper Chor, Gaddi Chhor (Paper Thieves, Vacate the Throne)!"
Gandhi characterized the battle against paper leaks as vital for democracy. "This isn't merely about youth employment; it is a struggle for justice and democracy. I stand resolutely with every student and young person in this quest for justice."
The slogan disseminated by Gandhi recently is a fresh iteration of his previous chant 'Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhor' (Vote thief, Vacate the Throne), which he has been vocalizing at political rallies, accusing the BJP of manipulating elections in collusion with the Election Commission of India.
In a post on social media dated September 23, Gandhi tagged joblessness as the foremost challenge facing the youth, asserting that unemployment rates have surged to their highest in 45 years.
"When any government ascends to power by earning the people's trust, its primary responsibility is to offer employment and opportunities to the youth. Yet, the BJP does not secure elections fairly - they retain power through vote theft and subjugating institutions. This is why unemployment has reached its highest level in 45 years," he posted on X.
