New Delhi, Sep 23 (NationPress) Launching a new attack on the government, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, stated on Tuesday that the nation’s youth are being ‘pushed into darkness’ due to the unprecedented surge in unemployment rates under the current regime.
In a post on X, the Congress leader criticized the Modi administration for its failure to tackle the escalating unemployment crisis among the youth, linking it to vote fraud and ‘vote chori’.
“The most pressing issue for the youth in India is unemployment - and it is intimately connected to vote theft,” he remarked in his post.
He emphasized that when any government takes power by winning the confidence of the populace, its primary responsibility is to ensure employment and opportunities for the youth, accusing the BJP of showing little regard for this obligation.
“The BJP does not win elections fairly - they maintain power by stealing votes and manipulating institutions. That is why unemployment has surged to its peak in 45 years,” Rahul Gandhi alleged.
He further asserted that job opportunities are dwindling, recruitment processes have faltered, and the future of the youth is being cast into darkness.
Intensifying his critique, he claimed that the government prioritizes business tycoons and billionaires over the youth, which has crushed their aspirations.
While making these accusations, he shared a video showcasing multiple instances of police lathi charges on protesting students.
He stated that the youth of the nation are now recognizing the need to combat vote theft, as this represents the ‘true’ challenge they face.
“As long as elections are subject to theft, unemployment and corruption will continue to rise. Now, the youth will no longer stand for job looting or vote theft,” he expressed, calling for public support.
“Liberating India from joblessness and vote theft is the highest form of patriotism,” he concluded.
Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks connecting unemployment to vote theft are significant as they aim to rally the support of unemployed youth ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
The Congress party has already intensified its focus on ‘vote chori’ allegations as the state elections approach. Rahul recently held a second press conference addressing electoral malpractices and warned of ‘major disclosures’ linked to an upcoming hydrogen bomb threat.
