Is Gen Z Aligning with PM Modi? Kiren Rijiju Challenges Rahul Gandhi
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Nov 5 (NationPress) Union Minister Kiren Rijiju vehemently criticized Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, accusing him of trying to deceive and incite Gen Z with what he labeled as 'false' claims of election fraud in Haryana.
Rijiju claimed that India's youth are “strongly aligned with Prime Minister Modi” and will not be swayed by “foreign narratives and conspiracies”.
During a press conference at the BJP headquarters, following Gandhi’s allegation of 25 lakh fraudulent votes in the Haryana elections, Rijiju stated, “Rahul Gandhi is attempting to incite Gen Z, but the youth of this nation are astute and support PM Modi. His schemes in partnership with anti-India elements will not prevail.”
“While the global economy faces a downturn, India is thriving with a growth rate exceeding 7 percent, establishing itself as the fastest-growing major economy. Our youth firmly stand behind Modi ji. To distract from this progress, Rahul Gandhi engages in tactics that aim to tarnish our country's reputation, but such conspiracies will not prosper in India,” he continued.
He dismissed Gandhi’s claims as “groundless, fictitious, and theatrically crafted to obscure his failures.”
“If there were any discrepancies, why doesn’t he lodge a complaint with the Election Commission or seek recourse in court? He never does. Instead, he disseminates misinformation,” Rijiju commented.
Critiquing Gandhi’s international travels, Rijiju remarked, “During election periods, he travels abroad; when Parliament is in session, he secretly visits Cambodia or Thailand, and now as Bihar prepares to vote in two days, he is making claims about Haryana. When abroad, he returns with ideas to fabricate narratives here.”
Quoting dissenting voices within Congress, Rijiju mentioned senior leaders like Kumari Selja, a former Haryana minister, and Rao Narender Singh, admitting to the party's disunity. “Their own leaders acknowledge they lost due to their own shortcomings. Who will trust Rahul Gandhi when he asserts votes were stolen?”
Rijiju further criticized Gandhi for promoting a T-shirt featuring a photograph of Minta Devi in Parliament. “By the end of the day, the woman herself reprimanded Congress for using a fake image, a fraudulent name, and a fabricated issue. This is their modus operandi.”
Labeling Gandhi’s accusations as “irrelevant and reckless,” Rijiju concluded, “In a democracy, one must accept both victory and defeat. We succeed because our workers labor diligently on the ground, not through manipulation. Rahul Gandhi should focus on serious matters rather than squandering the nation’s time.”
