Surendranagar (Gujarat), Nov 4 (NationPress) A significant felicitation ceremony took place on Tuesday in the heart of Gujarat's Surendranagar to honor the newly appointed State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma.
BJP workers from across the district came together to offer a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the State party President, including a lively bike rally that led to the event venue.
The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks from district president Hitendrasingh Chauhan. Numerous workers from every booth in the district, particularly farmers, gathered to greet the newly appointed leader.
Before addressing the audience, Jagdish Vishwakarma paid homage to saints and spiritual leaders, and he took the time to personally meet with farmers impacted by the recent unseasonal rainfall in the area.
During his speech, he conveyed his solidarity with the farming community, emphasizing the support they receive from the BJP government. He stated, "When I met a 70-year-old farmer today, he mentioned that no party president has ever visited their fields, placed a hand on their shoulder, and assured them that the government stands by them. The BJP is the first party to provide such support."
Vishwakarma highlighted the state government's initiatives aimed at alleviating losses due to unexpected rains and praised the success of schemes under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have empowered farmers to enhance their crop yield.
He acknowledged local leadership and engineers for their contributions, such as ensuring water supply to Saurashtra and aiding Gujarat's farmers and craftsmen.
Targeting opposition parties, he remarked, "Many are suddenly portraying themselves as the saviors of farmers. Those who failed to govern Delhi and Punjab are now attempting to disrupt Gujarat's harmony. Our farmers will not forget such actions. Unlike other parties that rely on outsiders for support, our workers attend in large numbers voluntarily."
He further criticized Congress leaders for misleading the populace and urged them not to disturb the tranquility of Gujarat's citizens, reaffirming public trust in Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.
The event also saw attendance from prominent BJP leaders, including Ministers Kuvarji Bavliya, Darshana Vaghela, MP Chundu Shihora, Deputy State President Varsha Doshi, former Minister IK Jadeja, and many other district and state-level officials.
The ceremony concluded with Jagdish Vishwakarma offering guidance to party workers and reaffirming the BJP's commitment to farmers, small traders, and craftsmen.
