“In this instalment, around 49.59 lakh farming families in Gujarat will receive over Rs 1,028 crore, which will be directly credited to their bank accounts,” Vaghani stated.
A state-level event will be held in Gandhinagar, presided over by Chief Minister Patel.
The programme will also be disseminated in various districts, talukas, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, market yards, Farmer Producer Organisations, PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras, and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, featuring a live stream of the Prime Minister’s address.
Numerous officials and farmers are anticipated to attend.
Vaghani emphasized the extensive impact of the PM Kisan scheme in Gujarat thus far, noting that through 21 instalments, 69.24 lakh beneficiary families have received more than Rs 22,069 crore directly deposited into their accounts.
On a national scale, over 11 crore farmer families have benefited from more than Rs 4,09,000 crore under this initiative.
The 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme continues to be the largest direct benefit transfer programme in India for farmers, ensuring timely financial support to agricultural households.
In a cabinet meeting today, Vaghani provided insights on several discussions, including a review by the Chief Minister of the state’s reservoir water levels ahead of the summer season to guarantee sufficient supply for both drinking and irrigation.
According to Vaghani, favorable rainfall during this year’s monsoon has considerably bolstered water storage across the main reservoirs in the state.
The current total water availability is 6.46 lakh MCFT, representing over 72 percent of its capacity.
“This marks a 4.15 percent increase compared to last year, ensuring ample water for both residents and farmers throughout the summer months,” Vaghani concluded.
