PatNew Delhi, Feb 24 (NationPress) On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated the transfer of the 19th tranche of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) to the accounts of millions of farmers, originating from Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. A total of Rs 22,000 crore was deposited into the accounts of more than 9.8 crore farmers, which includes 2.41 crore female farmers, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
This latest installment of PM-KISAN highlights the government’s unwavering dedication to rural development and the advancement of agricultural prosperity.
The prior 18th installment of PM-KISAN was distributed by the Prime Minister in Maharashtra’s Washim in October 2024, aimed at aiding over 9.4 crore farmers across the nation, with financial support exceeding Rs 20,000 crore.
Since the program's launch in February 2025, the Modi administration has allocated over Rs 3.46 lakh crore through 18 installments.
Earlier that day, PM Modi took to social media on X to reaffirm the government's commitment to farmer welfare.
He expressed pride in the nation’s Annadatas.
"We take pride in our Annadatas, and our commitment to enhancing their lives is evident in the efforts detailed in the post below," he shared on X.
He also conveyed joy as the nation celebrated the 6th anniversary of the PM-KISAN scheme, recognizing its success in addressing the needs of millions of individuals with ongoing support.
He noted that approximately Rs 3.5 lakh crore has reached farmers’ accounts to date.
"Congratulations to our farmer brothers and sisters nationwide on reaching six years of PM-Kisan. It fills me with immense pride that nearly three lakh crore rupees have been transferred to their accounts thus far. Our efforts are bringing respect, prosperity, and new strength to our food providers," stated the Prime Minister in an earlier post.
