This recruitment is anticipated to bolster the state’s power generation framework and enhance operational effectiveness.
While addressing the newly appointed staff, Patel asserted that a strong commitment to public service fosters both professional security and societal esteem. “In government positions, diligence and loyalty to one’s duties not only guarantee a stable income but also lead to success and honor,” he expressed.
He stressed the responsibilities tied to these roles, saying, “Employment is not just a source of income; it’s a service to the community.”
Patel acknowledged the crucial role of the energy department during crises and natural calamities, noting that staff frequently work tirelessly to restore power in affected regions.

The appointment letters were granted to professionals, including doctors, nurses, junior engineers, plant attendants, lab testers, and junior assistants.
Discussing Gujarat’s power sector evolution, Patel remarked that uninterrupted electricity access is now a reality thanks to ongoing reforms.

He emphasized that the workforce's contributions have been pivotal to this success, and the integration of new employees will further accelerate growth.
Patel also pointed out policy initiatives surrounding renewable energy. “Thanks to new policies in solar, wind, and hydrogen energy, Gujarat has become a frontrunner in various energy sectors,” he noted, adding that the performance of power utilities has garnered several accolades for the state.
Minister of State for Energy and Petrochemicals Kaushik Vekariya congratulated the new hires, describing the event as a significant milestone.
“Out of thousands of applicants, you have secured the chance to contribute to the nation. This is a source of pride,” he remarked.
Referring to the Jyotigram Yojana, he mentioned, “The scheme has effectively addressed power challenges in Gujarat by ensuring continuous electricity availability.”
