Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chandigarh, Jan 26 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared on Monday that there is no discrepancy between the government's promises and its actions.
“At present, Haryana is crafting a new narrative of prosperity. Adopting the fundamental tenet of a government by the people, for the people, Haryana is advancing swiftly, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he remarked while addressing the audience during the 77th Republic Day celebrations in Gurugram.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government has initiated multiple new programs aimed at uplifting the underprivileged, breaking free from outdated practices, and ensuring effective implementation of these initiatives.
Initially, the Chief Minister paid homage to martyrs at the Veer Shaheedi Memorial before hoisting the national flag. Subsequently, he reviewed the parade and took salute from various contingents, including Haryana Police, Women Police, Home Guards, and Scouts.
CM Saini remarked that Republic Day, infused with the spirit of Vande Mataram and the determination of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, “serves as a reminder of our nation's unity, cultural pride, and self-reliance. Our nation has always remained united despite its diversity, a fact reflected in the magnificent celebrations commemorating 150 years of Vande Mataram.”
“As India steadily progresses towards self-reliance, it is forging a new identity on the global stage, a source of pride and inspiration for every citizen,” he stated. The Chief Minister added that Republic Day is not just a festival to honor our past, but also a significant occasion to envision the bright future we have collaboratively constructed over the past 11 years.
He highlighted that for years, governments have changed but the system remained stagnant. Aiming for systemic change, the government has made 217 commitments in its manifesto during the recent Assembly elections. Out of these, 54 commitments have been realized within a year, while progress is underway on the remaining 163.
The Chief Minister noted that Haryana's policies such as bina parchi-bina kharchi recruitment, an online registry system, a transparent online transfer policy, educated panchayats, and the Antyodaya initiative are gaining national recognition, showcasing a robust and transparent image of the new Haryana.
