Chandigarh, Feb 2 (NationPress) Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to remarkable National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers who proudly represented the state during the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.

He emphasized that their involvement in this national celebration transcends mere formality, serving as a profound emblem of the nation’s youthful vigor, discipline, and spirit of service.

Lady Governor Mitra Ghosh was also in attendance. In his address at the ‘At Home’ event held at Lok Bhavan, Governor Ghosh hailed the Republic Day parade as the pinnacle expression of India’s unity in diversity, constitutional values, and national determination.

He remarked that being selected for the parade is a testament to extraordinary dedication, intense training, and a commitment that is nothing short of exemplary.

“You all have honored Haryana and added to the national pride of India,” he stated, commending the cadets and volunteers for their exceptional accomplishment.

Prof Ghosh underscored the vital role of the NCC in cultivating disciplined, confident, and responsible citizens. He noted that the organization fosters leadership skills, bravery, and a profound sense of patriotism among youth, equipping them to serve the nation during both challenging times and periods of peace.

The Governor also praised the altruistic efforts of NSS volunteers, asserting that their contributions embody the true essence of social responsibility. He pointed out that through community engagement, social awareness, and nation-building efforts, NSS volunteers reinforce the moral and social fabric of society.

“Your endeavors remind us that authentic nation-building starts with serving our fellow citizens,” he remarked.

In addressing the cadets and volunteers, Prof Ghosh described them as the torchbearers of a more robust, inclusive, and progressive India. He added that their discipline, compassion, and duty inspire trust in the country’s future.

The Governor encouraged them to persist in their journey of service, integrity, and excellence, expressing that the nation looks up to them with hope while Haryana takes great pride in their achievements.

Major General Bharat Mehtani, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate, Haryana, provided a report on NCC activities during the event, while Sharwan Ram, Regional Director of NSS, Union Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, emphasized the significant role of NSS volunteers in nation-building.
