Bhopal, Feb 6 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav remarked on Thursday that the National Service Scheme (NSS) serves as a vibrant platform for teaching personal growth and patriotism.
He noted that the name of the organization inherently embodies a spirit of service. By cultivating essential qualities in students and engaging them in the fundamental principles of community development, NSS plays a vital role in the progress of the nation.
"It is highly commendable that our students are now studying NSS as a subject. The youth are the future of the country, and fostering a spirit of service among them will accelerate the nation's progress," he stated.
The Chief Minister shared these insights while addressing an event at Samatva Bhavan, where he honored NSS students who brought acclaim to Madhya Pradesh during the Republic Day Parade 2025 in Delhi.
Expressing his appreciation for the commitment and service-oriented mindset of NSS, he presented medals to the participating students and their coordinators, extending his best wishes.
He emphasized that NSS is a fundamental platform for instilling values of social service, patriotism, discipline, and camaraderie among the youth.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Anupam Rajan, revealed that over 1.60 lakh students from colleges throughout the state are affiliated with this organization.
