Mumbai, Dec 8 (NationPress) Commemorating the late star Dharmendra’s remarkable 90th birthday, actress and politician Hema Malini shared a heartfelt message reflecting on her journey after the legendary actor's demise. She expressed that it has been over two weeks since she experienced profound heartbreak, and she is still in the process of rebuilding her life.

Hema took to X, previously known as Twitter, to share two cherished photographs with Dharmendra, whom she affectionately referred to as her “dear heart.”

She wrote, “Dharam ji…Happy birthday my dear heart.”

Hema further added, “More than two weeks have passed since you left me heartbroken. I am slowly gathering the pieces and trying to reconstruct my life, knowing you will always be with me in spirit.”

Expressing her gratitude, the actress cherished the years they spent together as partners, their “two beautiful girls” who symbolize their bond, and the invaluable memories she holds dear in her heart.

“The joyful memories of our life together can never be erased, and reliving those moments brings me immense solace and happiness. I thank God for our lovely years together, for our two beautiful daughters who reaffirm our love for one another, and for all the beautiful, cherished memories that will remain with me.”

On this special occasion, she prayed for “the wealth of peace and happiness” for Dharmendra, commending his humility, goodness, and love for humanity.

“On your birthday, my prayers are for God to grant you the peace and happiness you richly deserve for your humility and goodness of heart. Happy birthday, dear love. Our happy ‘together’ moments.”

Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89 on November 24th. He is widely regarded as one of the most handsome and commercially successful film stars in Indian cinema history, boasting a cinematic career that spanned over six decades and included over 300 films.

He held the record for featuring in the highest number of hit films in Hindi cinema and was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2012.

Making his debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, Dharmendra gained popularity in the mid-1960s with films like Ayee Milan Ki Bela, Phool Aur Patthar, and Aaye Din Bahar Ke.

Throughout the late 1960s to the 1980s, he starred in numerous successful Hindi films including Ankhen, Shikar, Seeta Aur Geeta, Sholay, and Dharam Veer.

In the late 1990s, he took on character roles in acclaimed films such as Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Life in a... Metro, Yamla Pagla Deewana, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Posthumously, he will be featured in 'Ikkis', directed by the talented Sriram Raghavan. The film, starring Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, is a war drama based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. It also includes Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher in significant roles and is set for release in December.
