New Delhi, March 1 (NationPress) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann declared on Sunday that the recent court ruling concerning the excise policy case, which involves former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and others, signifies a historic triumph for truth in Indian politics. This judgment further solidifies AAP's position as a formidable national entity.

In a bold political assertion, Mann stated that Punjab aims to secure 100 seats in the upcoming 2027 Assembly elections to challenge authoritarian governance, suggesting that the journey to defeating such politics will commence in Punjab. He emphasized, “Where Punjab leads, the nation follows,” asserting that 2027 will usher in transformative changes across India, highlighting Punjab's unyielding spirit against authoritarianism.

Mann addressed the ongoing issues regarding the withholding of GST dues and the failure to release Rs 1,600 crore in flood relief for Punjab during a public rally led by Kejriwal at Jantar Mantar. He vowed that the injustices faced would be met with a powerful democratic response.

He reiterated that authoritarian politics cannot suppress Punjab, stating that the march toward national victory would begin here. He emphasized that this battle is not about an individual but rather a significant struggle to protect the Constitution and the democratic values of India.

Addressing party leaders and supporters virtually, CM Mann extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire AAP team on this historic victory of truth following the recent court decision.

He remarked, “The day before yesterday will be etched in history as a landmark day when truth prevailed. I congratulate the entire AAP team, both those behind the scenes and those in the forefront, on this monumental victory we’ve secured from the court.”

Mann reflected on the party's resilience, stating, “Whenever a crisis strikes AAP, we emerge significantly stronger. I am unsure why, but it seems that destiny or divine intervention continually brings us back to our roots at Jantar Mantar. Today’s event was planned in advance, but we were unaware of the favorable verdict that would be delivered by the judge.”

“Today presents us with the chance to inform the nation that truth remains unaltered. The greatest advantage of truth is that it is consistent; one need not remember it. Wherever you go, you will speak the same truth. In contrast, those who lie must keep track of their previous statements.”

Targeting recent policy inconsistencies, Mann pointed out, “Numerous instances exist where GST was initially opposed, only to be adopted later. Many policies faced criticism before undergoing changes. Statements regarding escalating oil prices were made, yet prices have soared even higher; this is misleadingly termed a masterstroke. This illustrates the distinction between truth and deceit.”

He added, “Arvind Kejriwal is our leader. He demonstrates that if the 140 crore citizens of this nation unite for a cause, it will materialize. Divine support is with those who advocate for truth.” Drawing parallels with India's freedom struggle, he stated, “History tends to repeat itself. When Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh volunteered to face arrest and used the courtroom to articulate his arguments in English, it invigorated the movement.

“In a similar vein, even while imprisoned, Arvind Kejriwal conveyed messages urging us not to yield.” He concluded, ‘Bhagwant, do not submit to them. Act where necessary, but remain steadfast. The Aam Aadmi Party will emerge even stronger. And that is precisely what has transpired. The party has risen as a national force.”
