New Delhi, May 22 (NationPress) The head coach of the India U23 men’s national team, Naushad Moosa, has announced a 29-member probable squad for the upcoming friendly matches in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, scheduled for next month.
The India U23 team is set to compete against the Tajikistan U23 and Kyrgyzstan U23 squads in two matches on June 18 and June 21, respectively. This initiative is part of the federation's comprehensive strategy to create a smoother transition to the senior national team.
The team will gather for training in Kolkata starting on June 1 before heading to Dushanbe on June 16.
In line with the long-term vision for the India U23s, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has organized training camps and friendly matches during the FIFA International Windows. This is aimed at preparing the team for the AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers later this year and the Asian Games, which will take place in Japan in 2026.
