Algiers, May 30 (NationPress) The Indian all-party Parliamentary delegation, led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, embarked on their journey from Saudi Arabia to Algeria on Friday, carrying a compelling message of zero tolerance for terrorism. This initiative is part of the diplomatic outreach linked to Operation Sindoor, reinforcing India's commitment to combat terrorism in its myriad forms.
Following fruitful discussions in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, the delegation is set to arrive in Algeria later today. Their agenda includes a series of meetings until June 2, continuing India's strategic efforts to build global support against cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
Throughout their stay in Algeria, the delegation will underscore India’s firm and decisive stance on terrorism, particularly its struggle against terrorism sponsored by Pakistan, while stressing the need for worldwide collaboration on counter-terrorism efforts.
Earlier today, the delegation wrapped up a successful visit to Saudi Arabia, reaffirming India’s zero tolerance and ‘New Normal’ approach to terrorism. This visit served to reinforce the shared commitment between India and Saudi Arabia in the fight against terrorism.
“We concluded a highly productive visit in Saudi Arabia, solidifying the deep strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia — encompassing defense, security, trade, and counter-terrorism. Our all-party delegation articulated India’s firm zero-tolerance and New Normal approach against terrorism, and I am thankful to Abdulrahman Alharbi, Chair of the Saudi-India Friendship Committee, for the warm send-off,” Panda shared on X.
The delegation, under Panda's leadership, includes BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, BJP MP Phangnon Konyak, BJP MP Rekha Sharma, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, BJP MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, and former Indian diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
“Guided by Baijayant Jay Panda, our all-party delegation successfully concluded an impactful visit to Saudi Arabia, enhancing the robust and expanding Indo-Saudi strategic partnership. Our discussions spanned defense, security, trade, and counter-terrorism, reflecting India’s clarity and conviction. We firmly communicated our zero-tolerance and New Normal stance against terrorism,” Satnam Singh Sandhu conveyed on X.
This diplomatic outreach occurs in the wake of the tragic April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, India’s decisive Operation Sindoor, and subsequent efforts to promote global cooperation in countering terrorism.
