Chhattisgarh's Irshad Ahmed Realizes Her Dream Home with PM Awas Yojana
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Raipur, March 18 (NationPress) Irshad Ahmed, a resident of Gaurela village in Chhattisgarh, is overjoyed to finally own a pucca house—an aspiration that she and her family had nurtured for many years but could not achieve until now.
Fortunately, this dream has transformed into reality. The prolonged struggles and hardships are now fading away. The new residence granted to her through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) marks a significant milestone in her life and opens doors to numerous forthcoming opportunities.
Irshad Ahmed Behna's dream of having a permanent home became a reality through the PMAY initiative. Last year, a housing unit was assigned to her, and after the completion of construction by the state authorities, she was handed the keys to her new home.
In an interview with IANS, Irshad expressed that prior to benefiting from the PM Awas Yojana, she had been living in a kaccha (mud) house due to financial limitations. During the monsoon season, water would leak through the roof, causing significant distress for her family.
"The PM Awas Yojana has illuminated our path with hope. Now, my aspiration of owning a permanent home has finally been fulfilled," she stated.
Irshad discovered the PM Awas Yojana via social media, prompting her to take advantage of its provisions.
Grateful to PM Modi, she noted that without the establishment of this scheme, her dream of residing in a permanent house would have remained elusive.
Her sister, Nazreen Fatima, commented, "We used to endure countless challenges living in a kaccha house. The monsoon kept us awake at night due to the risk of flooding. Additionally, we were susceptible to various illnesses. However, now that we have received a permanent residence through the PM Awas Yojana, our lives have changed for the better. We are truly happy and face no issues anymore. Our heartfelt thanks go to PM Modi."
