New Delhi, April 16 (NationPress) The second phase of the Indian Women’s League 2025-26 is set to commence on April 27, 2026, in Kolkata. The opening match will feature East Bengal FC taking on Sribhumi FC, a rematch from Phase 1, scheduled at the East Bengal Ground at 19:00 IST.

Phase 1, which took place from December 20, 2025, to January 9, 2026, included a total of 27 matches. Following a more than three-month pause, players are now available for the senior and U20 women’s national teams camps, along with preparations for the AFC Women's Asian Cup in March and the AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup in April.

Phase 2 will see an additional 29 matches held from April 27 to May 18, featuring eight teams competing in the second leg of the double round-robin format. Matches will occur at two venues: the AIFF National Centre of Excellence and the East Bengal Ground, with kick-offs at 15:00 and 19:00 IST.

The reigning champions, East Bengal FC, currently lead the standings with 18 points from six matches, while Sesa FA and Kickstart FC find themselves in the relegation zone with one and six points, respectively. The team accumulating the highest points by season's end will be declared the champions.
