Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jabalpur/New Delhi, Feb 6 (NationPress) Ayush Tiwari, a student hailing from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the annual event ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ held in New Delhi on Friday.
Tiwari, an 11th-grade student at the state-run Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha School in Jabalpur, expressed his gratitude for the chance to engage directly with the Prime Minister.
“Very few individuals have the privilege of meeting the Prime Minister and having a direct conversation. I consider myself fortunate. My parents were overjoyed when I informed them of my selection for this program,” he shared.
Reflecting on his experience during Pariksha Pe Charcha, Tiwari mentioned that they were welcomed for breakfast at the Prime Minister’s residence. They anticipated that PM Modi would join them after the meal.
“In a surprising twist, we found PM Modi standing right in front of us, which was like a dream come true,” he recounted in a video released by the Madhya Pradesh School Education department.
As the sole representative from Madhya Pradesh in this program, Ayush Tiwari remarked, “When I greeted him with Har Har Narmade, he inquired if I was from Narmadapuram. I proudly mentioned that I am from Jabalpur, recognized as the Sanskardhani (cultural capital) of Madhya Pradesh.”
Inquiring about advice from PM Modi, Ayush stated, “I asked him how students can keep up with the pace of teachers, especially when trying to catch up on missed syllabus portions, which often leads to missing the next topics.”
Ayush noted that PM Modi was very approachable, presenting an Assamese Gamchha to all the students.
This was the ninth iteration of Pariksha Pe Charcha, conducted at the Prime Minister’s residence. During the nearly one-hour interaction, students dominated the discussion, posing a variety of questions, while PM Modi patiently addressed each one.
The Prime Minister emphasized that examinations should assist students in understanding themselves rather than solely measuring their academic performance. He reiterated that preparation should be geared towards life rather than just exams, highlighting the significance of communication, practice, balance, journaling, and time management as critical life skills.
Commenting on Ayush's meeting with PM Modi during the Pariksha Pe Charcha, Sanjay Goyal, Secretary of School Education in Madhya Pradesh, told IANS, “It fills us with pride that once again, a student from our area, Jabalpur, was selected after a rigorous selection process to engage with the Prime Minister.”
The ninth edition of the Pariksha Pe Charcha is PM Modi’s annual initiative aimed at fostering a dialogue with students ahead of board exams, shifting the national discourse on exams from anxiety and pressure to one of confidence and essential life skills.
