Nawanshahr, Feb 17 (NationPress) A 16-year-old boy named Sarvesh Jangra from Rahon town in Nawanshahr district, Punjab, had the remarkable opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' initiative. In an interview with IANS, Sarvesh shared his joy about this meeting, mentioning that the anxiety he once felt regarding exams has significantly reduced.
His family was equally excited, with his parents expressing their happiness over their son's meeting with the Prime Minister.
In his conversation with IANS, Sarvesh stated, "I owe this opportunity to my teachers, who motivated me to take part in this programme focused on exams. Their encouragement played a crucial role in helping me achieve this milestone.
"Among all the students in Punjab, only three were chosen – one boy and two girls – and I was lucky to be selected. There was no examination involved. My school submitted an audition video, and after a selection process in Punjab, the final decision was made in Delhi. That’s when I learned I had been chosen."
Reflecting on his experience, Sarvesh remarked, "It was truly an unforgettable moment. I felt elated to meet peers from various parts of India and especially to converse with PM Modi.
"It was a tremendous honor to engage with him, as he dedicated about one-and-a-half hours to our discussions. He was warm and approachable, creating a friendly atmosphere that made the entire interaction enjoyable. I truly cherished our conversation, and it felt like a moment of great fortune for me."
Sarvesh's father, Pawan Kumar Jangra, expressed his views, stating, "I believe this programme is highly significant. Sarvesh is putting in a lot of effort in his studies, and this initiative provided him with much-needed relief. It alleviated the stress associated with exams. Everyone present seemed relaxed, and with PM Modi's guidance, the pressure has eased considerably. It was a wonderful experience."
