Chitrakoot, Aug 7 (NationPress) Renowned Sanskrit scholar Jagadguru Rambhadracharya discussed various topics with IANS on Thursday, particularly the remarks made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi regarding the effectiveness of Operation Sindoor. He also addressed the ongoing comments by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav about Kathavachaks (narrators of Hindu mythology).
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his skepticism towards Operation Sindoor, labeling his statements as “unfortunate” and “childish”.
In his attacks against the government, Rahul Gandhi recently asserted that the administration lacks the “political will” for Operation Sindoor, alleging it has “tied” the armed forces' hands in effectively dealing with foes during the military operation.
The Jagadguru also expressed his discontent over Akhilesh Yadav's frequent commentary on 'kathawatchaks', questioning his grasp of the profound culture and heritage of Hinduism.
Commenting on Akhilesh’s sarcastic remarks about Manu Maharaj, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya stated, “He doesn’t have any understanding of Sanskrit. Had he been aware of our rich legacy, he would have never made such insensitive and distasteful remarks.”
Akhilesh Yadav, in a recent media interview, pinned the blame for the division within Hinduism on Manu Maharaj, claiming he initiated these differences centuries ago.
However, the esteemed spiritual leader chose to remain silent on the controversy involving Dimple Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav’s wife.
A gathering of SP MPs led by Akhilesh Yadav and attended by Dimple Yadav found itself mired in controversy, with the BJP vocally opposing what they termed a blatant attempt to appease the Muslim community.
Later, a Muslim cleric, Maulana Sajid Rashidi, criticized Dimple’s attire inside a mosque, making “sexist” remarks.
When asked about the incident, Jagadguru remarked, “I don’t want to get into such episodes. Being a Jagadguru and Padma Vibhushan, it’s not apt for me to air my opinion on such issues.”
Maulana Sajid Rashidi's derogatory comments against Dimple Yadav during a television debate sparked significant controversy and public outrage.
This issue resonated beyond the Parliament, as BJP lawmakers protested against the cleric and his misogynistic comments directed at a member of Parliament.
