Amaravati, May 13 (NationPress) The former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and president of the YSR Congress Party, Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, extended his condolences to the family of Murali Naik, a soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice during 'Operation Sindoor'.
Jagan Mohan Reddy visited the home of the soldier in Kallithanda, located in the Goruntla mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district, to offer his support to Naik's grieving parents.
After paying his respects to the brave soldier, Jagan engaged with the family, who were visibly distraught.
The YSR Congress Party leader sat on the floor of the humble room, sharing in their sorrow.
As a gesture of support, Jagan announced an ex gratia of Rs 25 lakh on behalf of the party. He reminded everyone that the tradition of honoring fallen soldiers with an ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh was initiated by the YSRCP government and has continued since.
