Amaravati, April 11 (NationPress) Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is afraid of the YSR Congress Party because he cannot confront the public regarding his unfulfilled promises, asserted former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The YSR Congress Party leader accused Naidu of employing undemocratic tactics. Nonetheless, he reassured party members that this would only be a temporary situation.

While speaking to local party members in Kurnool at the party headquarters on Thursday, he committed that Jagan 2.0 would support the party's base.

Pointing out that Naidu would likely resort to more deceptive strategies, he urged the party members to remain vigilant.

Reflecting on the party's journey, he noted that the YSRCP emerged from a struggle, establishing credibility and principles by reshaping politics in the state. “We have demonstrated how a party should adhere to its manifesto and keep its commitments. We have accomplished 99% of our promised goals and have not faltered even amidst Covid,” he stated.

Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized that despite the YSRCP's commendable work, Chandrababu Naidu has managed to mislead the public with his falsehoods, as people believed he would provide additional benefits.

“It has been eleven months since the coalition government was formed, and people are still anxiously awaiting the fulfillment of his promises. The public is fed up with his blatant lies regarding various sectors. The fields of education, health, and agriculture have suffered greatly. No farmers are receiving MSP, students are not getting fee reimbursements, and Rs 3,500 crore is overdue for Aarogyasri,” the former Chief Minister remarked.

Claiming a lack of transparency in governance, Jagan stated that the Red Book constitution is being enforced while the liquor, gambling, and mining gangs flourish.

He urged party members to take action for the people and organize from the ground level.

The YSRCP leader accused Chandrababu of ridiculing democracy by attempting to dominate local bodies, despite the TDP lacking the necessary numbers. Of the 57 seats where by-elections were called, 7 were postponed, and out of the remaining 50, the YSRCP won 39 as its members stood firm against Chandrababu's undemocratic actions.

He warned YSRCP members that in the days ahead, Chandrababu would likely utilize more coercive tactics and that they should stay alert.
