Mumbai, October 25 (NationPress) The creator of the beloved series “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai”, JD Majethia, is in mourning following the passing of esteemed actor Satish Shah.
In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram Stories, JD expressed, “My heart breaks to announce this (broken heart emoji). Satish Shah has left us. The family will make announcements regarding the cremation by nightfall. (Crying face and folded hands emoji) (sic).
Satish Shah passed away in Mumbai on Saturday, at the age of 74.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to social media to convey the tragic news, posting a video that detailed the circumstances surrounding Satish Shah's death.
Ashoke was heard stating, “I regret to share some sad news with you. Our friend, a remarkable actor, Satish Shah has departed due to kidney failure. He suddenly fell ill at home and was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, Shivaji Park, where he sadly passed away. His remains will be taken to his residence in Bandra (sic).”
He went on to express, “This is a tremendous loss for our industry. I had the honor of working closely with Satish. He was a wonderful person,” and included a lengthy caption stating, “I’m heartbroken to share that our dear friend and incredible actor Satish Shah has passed on a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was taken to Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. This is a significant loss for our industry. Om Shanti.”
The Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) also expressed their sorrow on Instagram, stating, “CINTAA extends its condolences on the passing of Satish Shah ji (member since 1985)” (sic).
Satish Shah is survived by his wife, Madhu Shah, a renowned designer.
His last appearance was in the 2014 film “Humshakals”, directed by Sajid Khan, where he shared the screen with Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta, and Bipasha Basu in this drama.
