New Delhi, Jan 13 (NationPress) Janata Dal(U) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha responded sharply to Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD regarding his comments on the recent Bihar Assembly elections. Jha emphasized that the opposition lacks credibility among the electorate in this election cycle and urged them to reflect on their standing.

Addressing Yadav's claims, Jha stated, "Our dedication extends over two decades, and it is the people who will evaluate our efforts. We have made promises to the public. If the opposition has any issues, they should raise them, but they need to establish their credibility first. The opposition lacks credibility among voters this election and needs to reflect on their position."

"Every commitment we have made has been fulfilled, earning the trust of the people, which is why they continue to vote for us. All promises made during our tenure are being executed promptly," he added.

Tejashwi Yadav accused the NDA of transforming democracy into a “dhan tantra” and “machine tantra”, asserting that it was not his party but the citizens of Bihar who suffered losses in the Assembly elections last year.

Upon returning to Patna after a European trip, Yadav alleged that a “conspiracy was orchestrated” and that the election was “secured through deception.” He declared that he would refrain from commenting on the NDA government's actions for the next 100 days to monitor if it meets its electoral promises.

"As practitioners of positive politics, I will hold my comments regarding the current government's decisions and policies for 100 days. I will observe when our mothers and sisters receive Rs 2 lakh and when one crore youths secure jobs. There was a promise to establish four to five factories in each district; let’s see what unfolds," Yadav stated.

In response to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s ongoing ‘Samriddhi Yatra’, Jha commended the administration's interaction with the public, remarking, "The Chief Minister has a commendable history – look at his excursions. Whenever he embarks on tours, there are two significant aspects. He engages with the community, gathers feedback, and this direct interaction aids in shaping policies and planning government initiatives."

Point of View

It's evident that the ongoing political discourse between JD(U) and RJD reflects deeper issues of trust and accountability in governance. While Jha's defense highlights the need for the opposition to establish credibility, it also underscores the importance of transparency and fulfillment of promises by the ruling party. The electorate's perception will ultimately determine the outcome of these claims.
