Is Tejashwi Yadav Losing Credibility Among His Allies?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) The ruling NDA in Bihar responded firmly on Monday to RJD leader and Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding his critical comments aimed at the coalition. JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar accused Yadav of being inconsistent and doubting his own credibility even among his allies.
Minister Ashok Choudhary added that the NDA, buoyed by a significant mandate, would address the political landscape in its own manner.
In his reaction to Yadav’s remarks, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar stated, “He has contradicted his own claims. The court had labeled him as part of a ‘criminal-political syndicate’. The claims made by Rohini Acharya regarding this issue remain unchallenged. If it signifies a victory for the system, then your victory too is encompassed in that same triumph. Tejashwi Yadav’s assertions are no longer taken seriously by the members of his own coalition.”
Neeraj Kumar’s comments followed Tejashwi Yadav accusing the NDA of transforming democracy into “dhan tantra” and “machine tantra”, asserting that it was not his party but the citizens of Bihar who faced losses in the Assembly elections held last year.
The ruling NDA had convincingly triumphed over the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan in the November 2025 Assembly polls, securing its position in the state.
Adding to the NDA’s rebuttal, Minister Ashok Choudhary stated, “The NDA has been granted such a substantial mandate. They will undoubtedly respond to it in due course. They possess their unique perspective and approach.” His remarks highlighted the coalition’s confidence following their electoral success and their intention to pave their unique governance path.
Earlier on Sunday, Tejashwi Yadav, who returned to Patna after a European tour, alleged that a “conspiracy was devised” and that the election was “secured through deceit”. He also declared that he would abstain from commenting on the NDA government’s operations for the next 100 days to assess whether it adheres to its election promises.
“As we engage in positive politics, I will refrain from discussing the decisions and policies of the current government for 100 days. I will observe when our mothers and sisters receive Rs 2 lakh. When will one crore youth secure jobs? There were discussions about establishing four to five factories in each district. Let’s see how it unfolds,” Yadav remarked.
