Is NDA's Manifesto Just a Copy of Tejashwi’s Pledge?

Patna, Oct 31 (NationPress) Following the release of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) joint manifesto, titled “Sankalp Patra”, for the Bihar Assembly elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav fiercely criticized the ruling coalition, labeling it as a manifesto filled with “falsehoods” and a “copy-paste” replication of his own ‘Tejashwi’s Pledge’.
Tejashwi accused the NDA of being insincere towards the citizens of Bihar, noting that the manifesto was unveiled in a mere 26 seconds, which he interpreted as indicative of the alliance's dismissive approach to the state.
“In an unprecedented move, a coalition introduced its manifesto in just 26 seconds — a clear sign of their disregard for the 14 crore people of Bihar,” he remarked.
He further claimed that over half of the promises in the NDA’s manifesto were directly lifted from his own pledges.
“They lack an original vision. They appropriated my commitments, rebranded them, and presented them as their own. However, the people of Bihar are not fooled by this trickery,” Tejashwi asserted.
Continuing his sharp critique, the RJD leader suggested that the NDA should have issued an apology letter rather than a manifesto.
“For two decades, they have governed Bihar through deception and empty promises. This manifesto doesn’t represent progress; it's merely a report on their failures,” he stated.
Tejashwi employed sarcasm to emphasize what he described as the NDA's unfulfilled promises, stating, “Each year they present a new manifesto while their past pledges remain unfulfilled. This is a testament to their consistent betrayal of commitments.”
He also criticized the NDA’s claims regarding education and nutrition, arguing that they reveal the government's historical shortcomings.
“Now they are vowing to provide nutritious meals to children in mid-day programs — does this imply that nutritious food was absent for the last 20 years?” he queried.
Labeling the NDA’s document as a “junior KG-level manifesto” after 20 years of mismanagement, Tejashwi pointed out that despite two decades of continuous rule, fundamental issues such as education, employment, and healthcare remain unaddressed.
“Now they talk about revitalizing schools — but wasn’t that their responsibility from the start? What have they been doing all these years?” he questioned.
Tejashwi concluded by stating that the youth and impoverished individuals in Bihar have lost faith in the NDA’s repetitive promises and are seeking real change.
“The people of Bihar are tired of more manifestos; they are demanding accountability,” he asserted.
