Tejashwi Yadav Critiques Nitish Kumar's Leadership, Claims He Is Just a Figurehead

Patna, Dec 28 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership, casting doubt on the effectiveness of governance and decision-making in the state.
The RJD leader accused Nitish Kumar of being merely a figurehead, asserting that critical decisions are actually being made by retired bureaucrats and a select group of leaders situated in Patna and Delhi.
This accusation suggests that the Chief Minister lacks full control over the government, which could have significant consequences for governance and public trust.
Tejashwi Yadav condemned Nitish Kumar, who undertook a Yatra (journey) in Bihar but failed to engage with the public or media. Yadav also pointed out the CM’s absence in the Bihar Assembly and his disregard for opposition correspondence.
“Nitish Kumar did not personally respond to a letter from former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal; instead, Sanjay Jha, a Rajya Sabha MP of JD(U), replied. Why didn’t Nitish Kumar, as the head of the state government, personally address correspondence involving a former CM?” Yadav questioned.
“What kind of Chief Minister is Nitish Kumar?,” he further asked, adding that “administrative chaos” rules in Bihar, with governance being managed by a group indifferent to public welfare.
By citing specific cases, such as the letter from Kejriwal, Yadav aims to portray Nitish Kumar as disconnected and ineffective, which may become a recurring topic in political discourse.
Tejashwi Yadav also took aim at the ruling NDA government for numerous paper leaks within a single year, indicating a systemic failure to conduct fair and transparent examinations.
“Why was only the examination at the Bapu examination centre in Patna cancelled when complaints were reported from other centres as well?” he queried.
He suggested that the action taken was inadequate and arbitrary, potentially overlooking irregularities at other sites.
Yadav is leveraging this issue to underscore failures under the NDA government, characterizing it as a failure to guarantee fairness in a crucial aspect of public service recruitment.
