The event is set to commence with a collective rendition of India's National Song, “Vande Mataram”, celebrating its 150-year legacy and its unique significance in India's history.
Additionally, the workshop will emphasize the major outreach and implementation strategies of the DISHA Scheme, aimed at enhancing legal literacy and justice accessibility across the nation.
A segment titled “DISHA Yojana ke Aayaam: Sugam evam Sulabh Nyaya tak Pahuch” will showcase initiatives that promote legal awareness via community outreach programs, digital campaigns, and collaborations with educational institutions and civil society organizations.
The focus will particularly be on reaching marginalized and vulnerable communities through simplified and technology-enhanced platforms.
The event will also present the ongoing work of the DISHA Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir. In the segment titled “DISHA in J&K: Ek Jhalak”, the scheme's initiatives aimed at improving legal awareness and justice access in the Union Territory will be highlighted.
A key feature of the event will be the recognition of individuals and institutions associated with the DISHA Scheme for their substantial contributions to legal literacy and justice access.
The ceremony will honor the efforts of those who have advanced the scheme's objectives through dedicated outreach and community engagement.
The event will also unveil DISHA's annual e-calendar, which will outline the Department of Justice’s key activities, campaigns, and awareness programs for the year.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Chief Justice Arun Palli of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court are expected to attend, along with nearly 800 participants.
