Mumbai, June 20 (NationPress) Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam has vehemently criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, stating that his remarks regarding Operation Sindoor and US President Donald Trump are nothing short of an insult to the martyrs and armed forces.
Kadam's comments came in response to Thackeray's statements made during the 59th Foundation Day celebration of Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackeray raised concerns about the government's execution of the terror operation, sarcastically suggesting an intervention by Trump and alleging that the terrorists simply “disappeared into the ground or joined the BJP.” He further ridiculed the BJP, saying, “Only Dawood is left to be inducted into the party,” insinuating that they were accepting members from incarcerated criminals.
In an interview with IANS, Ram Kadam retorted, saying, “To question Operation Sindoor is a direct insult to those who have suffered losses due to terrorism. It’s also a slap in the face to our courageous soldiers who risk their lives at the borders daily to safeguard our nation.”
Kadam did not shy away from personal attacks against Thackeray, declaring, “Uddhav Thackeray is no longer the person he once was. He appears to be a confused Gandhi clone, weighed down by political pressures. His comments indicate he’s not mentally fit—perhaps he requires medical assistance.”
Kadam mentioned, “No one takes him seriously now—not even his own family. His biological brother doesn’t acknowledge him, and his sister-in-law ignores him. With such minimal support, his indecent and irresponsible remarks are beneath any leader's dignity.”
He also touched upon Thackeray’s ongoing feud with cousin Raj Thackeray, asserting, “Uddhav labeled 'Maharashtra Navnirman Sena' as a defunct party, but he’s the one who expelled Raj while Balasaheb was still alive. Now, seeing his influence diminishing, he recalls his brother. This is desperation, not reconciliation.”
Kadam condemned Uddhav's ongoing attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Thackeray recently stated, “India needs a Prime Minister—right now we only have a PM of the BJP.”
In response, Kadam remarked, “These are the words of a disgruntled individual. Even his blood relatives have forsaken him. He’s resentful because he knows he can’t compete with PM Modi’s accomplishments. Roads are being constructed, infrastructure is improving, and India is progressing across the board. His critiques arise from envy.”
Kadam concluded by questioning Uddhav’s ideological steadiness, stating, “Is this what Balasaheb Thackeray stood for? If Balasaheb were alive today, he would have commended the leadership of Modi and Shah. Sadly, Uddhav now comfortably resides in the arms of the Gandhi family, forsaking the very values his father upheld.
