New Delhi, July 29 (NationPress) In the midst of a political uproar regarding Operation Sindoor, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has vehemently criticized the Opposition, accusing them of undermining India's armed forces and indirectly supporting terrorists in Pakistan. Kadam asserted, "The opposition must realize their actions should not inadvertently favor terrorists hiding in Pakistan." In a pointed reply to the criticisms aimed at the government's counter-terrorism strategies, he questioned, "What is the opposition implying? Do they lack trust in our valiant soldiers? The global community has recognized our efforts in dismantling terrorist networks in Pakistan, yet the opposition remains silent."
He continued, "Previously, we witnessed a time when terrorists from Pakistan would infiltrate our nation, launch attacks, and retreat unscathed. Past administrations lacked the resolve to confront them on their soil. However, under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have retaliated against terrorism, striking down Pakistani terrorists whenever they threaten us."
Kadam described the Opposition's stance as "deliberate ignorance, " stating, "They are fully aware of how effectively the Indian government has tackled Pakistani terrorists. Yet, those who choose to remain ignorant cannot be enlightened, regardless of how many explanations are provided. This charade being performed by the opposition is entirely intentional."
These statements arise amidst a heated debate in Parliament concerning Operation Sindoor, which is India's response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, that tragically resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals, including several tourists.
In a recent address to the Lok Sabha, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized, "Let this serve as a clear warning to those who promote terrorism; India will retaliate more forcefully than ever."
He confirmed that over 100 terrorists were neutralized during the operation, and nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were obliterated.
Furthermore, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar provided insights to the House regarding the international diplomatic support that has strengthened India's military strategy.
The Congress-led Opposition has called for clarification on the security failures in Pahalgam, alleged losses of military aircraft, and US President Donald Trump's purported claims of intervening in India-Pakistan affairs.
The government has shown full willingness to discuss all relevant matters.
