Sarma informed reporters, “Our Armed Forces initiated ‘Operation Sindoor’ to retaliate for the Pahalgam incident. We are entirely ready to address any provocations from Pakistan.” He further stated, “The whole nation stands resolutely behind our government and military as they undertake strong, decisive actions against terrorism.”
Sarma emphasized that Indian forces have effectively targeted terror camps deep within Pakistan. “This is a moment to demonstrate unity and support our government and soldiers. We should also pray for their success,” he remarked.
Reaffirming his faith in the armed forces, the Chief Minister asserted, “There should be no uncertainty regarding the capabilities of our military. They strike with precision and leave no room for denial.”
Earlier in the day, Sarma stressed that India is fully capable of providing a robust response to its adversaries. In reaction to the military operation, he stated, “India will eliminate its enemies, even if it requires reaching them at their homes.”
“This is the new India. We know how to deliver appropriate responses. Wherever India’s adversaries may hide, they will be tracked down,” he declared. Sarma also expressed his solidarity with the armed forces and Prime Minister Modi on social media. One poster he shared, dated May 7, proclaimed, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided a fitting reply, and our armed forces have avenged the Pahalgam killings.”
Another poster, dated April 22, depicted the Pakistani flag and armed militants with the message: “Tell Modi about it.” Following the retaliatory strikes, Sarma saluted the Indian military with a “Jai Hind” and commended their precise attacks on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
He also posted a video clip featuring Indian fighter jets and air force personnel, captioning it “The pride and glory of India – Indian Army.” Additionally, Sarma reshared posts from Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in favor of the operation.
On Wednesday, Indian armed forces executed missile strikes on nine terror camps situated in Pakistan and PoK, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists.
