He further stated, “Why are your forces suddenly on high alert? Because deep down, you know the truth - you’re harboring and nurturing terrorists. Shame on you.”

On Wednesday, Pakistan expressed its concern over the loss of tourists’ lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

In response to media inquiries regarding the attack, Pakistan's Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Khan stated: “We are troubled by the tragic loss of tourists’ lives during the incident in Anantnag. We extend our condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” as reported by Dawn.

Earlier, US Vice-President, currently in India, urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strongly denounce the Pahalgam terror attack and assured that the United States is prepared to offer "all assistance" in the collaborative fight against terrorism.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Vance, who is visiting Agra on Wednesday, firmly condemned the heinous terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir during his phone call with PM Modi.

“He expressed his deepest condolences for the loss of lives and emphasized that the United States stands with the people of India in this challenging time. He affirmed that the United States is ready to provide all assistance in the united battle against terrorism. PM thanked Vice President Vance and President Trump for their supportive messages,” the MEA reported.

Earlier that day, US President Donald Trump reached out to Prime Minister Modi to convey US support and condolences following the terrorist attack that claimed the lives of numerous tourists.

Prime Minister Modi assured President Trump that he is determined to hold accountable those responsible for the Pahalgam terrorist attack, indicating potential retaliatory actions that have characterized his approach to terrorism.

PM Modi informed the American President that India is resolved to bring the perpetrators and their supporters of this cowardly and brutal terrorist attack to justice.

At least 26 tourists and local civilians were killed on Tuesday when gunmen opened fire on innocent civilians in Baisaran in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to eyewitness accounts, a group of heavily armed terrorists emerged from the nearby forests and opened fire indiscriminately on civilians, primarily targeting tourists.

Baisaran is a small meadow located three to four km from the Pahalgam market, accessible to tourists via horseback as there is no motorable road.
