Chandigarh, April 29 (NationPress) Haryana's Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij addressed Congress' comments regarding the recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, urging for a united national front amidst these trying times.
“This is indeed a time of war,” Vij asserted, “and every Indian must rise and state: ‘Narendra Modi, we stand with you; you fight -- we are here for you. We are completely ready, and anyone attempting to mislead us in any form will be revealed.”
He advised Congress to exercise patience during such a sensitive period. “While they might have inquiries, this is not the moment for them,” he commented to reporters.
In response to claims that Pakistan has moved terrorists from launch pads to camps out of fear of Indian retaliation, Vij stated, “They can flee anywhere in Pakistan -- we will not let them escape. They consistently disrupt our peace. Witnessing Kashmir thrive while they languish in misery incites their envy. Approximately 1.75 crore tourists visited Kashmir, significantly aiding its economy. These terrorists are now targeting individuals based on their religion. If Hindus choose not to visit Vaishno Devi or Amarnath, or refrain from traveling to Kashmir as tourists, what will happen to the local economy?”
The Minister echoed Prime Minister Modi’s viewpoint, stating, “PM Modi has repeatedly affirmed that those who spill innocent blood will face justice, and he consistently fulfills his promises.”
The alleged mastermind behind the Pahalgam attack is said to be Hashim Musa, a former member of Pakistan’s Special Forces. Pakistan denies any involvement. Vij posed the question, “If that is the case, then why are they fleeing the nation and sending their children abroad? No thief ever admits to their crime -- yet the world recognizes the truth. India has resolved, we will not accept terrorism in any form.”
Reflecting on historical conflicts, Vij recounted, “During the 1965 and 1971 wars, we witnessed bombs dropping in Ambala. People watched from rooftops, filled with bravery. In the 1999 Kargil War, soldiers advanced with resolve, and the populace supported them with food and drinks. Today, we remain equally ready, and any infiltrator, regardless of their disguise, will be identified and defeated,” he concluded.
