On Wednesday, State Minister for Culture and Films, Saji Cherian, announced that the government will host an extravagant, celebrity-filled event to recognize the actor.
"This is a landmark occasion for Kerala. Witnessing Mohanlal, a source of pride and inspiration for Malayalis around the globe, receive the highest accolade in Indian cinema is truly extraordinary," Cherian remarked to IANS.
"We will celebrate him on a grand stage. I have personally communicated with him, and he has kindly agreed to participate. The government will ensure that this event becomes an unforgettable experience." Cherian further noted that the ceremony will not only celebrate the actor but also highlight Kerala’s rich cultural heritage.
