Bengaluru, Sep 26 (NationPress) The Congress-led Karnataka administration has expressed its support for the remarks made by ‘Dharmadhikari’ and BJP Rajya Sabha member Veerendra Heggade on Friday, reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that promote the greater good.

The Dharmadhikari of the renowned Dharmasthala temple and BJP Rajya Sabha member indicated that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) currently examining the mass grave case is unveiling the truth, and he conveyed his appreciation to the Congress-led government in the state.

In response, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah remarked in Bengaluru: “We consistently engage in actions that are beneficial.”

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar emphasized that the Congress-led government aims to avoid causing distress to anyone. “We will perform our responsibilities within the legal framework and guarantee justice for those deserving of it,” he stated.

“Measures will be taken against those who have committed wrongful acts. Until now, we have refrained from interfering in the Dharmasthala case, nor have we sought updates from the officers. Our comments have solely been based on media reports. Once the final report is submitted, we can discuss it further,” Shivakumar added.

Speaking to an audience at Dharmasthala, Veerendra Heggade expressed: “People have observed the extreme high-handedness directed towards us. We have never inflicted pain on anyone, so why would people turn against us?”

“People and the media have frequently questioned me, ‘Why are you being investigated and targeted?’ I, too, seek clarity on this matter. At this point, things are becoming clearer,” he mentioned.

“I am unaware of why people harbor resentment against me. Everyone in Dharmasthala is devoted to this pilgrimage site. Water does not remain at the top — it must eventually flow down,” he added.

“I appreciate everyone who has supported this Dharmasthala pilgrimage center and have refrained from believing the allegations thus far. Lord Manjunatha Swamy will bless you all,” he concluded.

BJP State President and MLA B. Y. Vijayendra stated on Thursday: “The Congress-led government is actively facilitating a systematic conspiracy aimed at undermining and tarnishing the reputation of the esteemed Hindu religious site, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.”
