Hyderabad, Feb 23 (NationPress) K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of transforming Telangana into a financial source for the AICC.
In a statement, Rama Rao pointed out that Revanth Reddy has openly acknowledged his previous claims that Telangana has effectively become an ATM for the Congress party over the past two years.
This was in response to Revanth Reddy's alleged offer of Rs.1,000 crore to the Gandhi family.
Reportedly, the Chief Minister stated that if any member of the Gandhi family faces financial difficulties, Telangana Congress workers are prepared to provide Rs.1,000 crore for assistance.
The former minister expressed his disappointment, stating that the 'state's wealth is being funneled into the hands of Congress leadership, compromising Telangana's dignity on the streets of Delhi.'
KTR, as he is commonly referred to, criticized the government for claiming to lack funds while failing to fulfill 420 commitments made to farmers, women, youth, employees, and retirees.
He asserted that despite the government’s claims of having no resources for development, it has amassed a staggering debt of three lakh crore rupees in merely two years, with no visible progress made in the state. KTR alleged that public funds are being misappropriated instead of being utilized for the public good.
Addressing the issue of alleged land grabbing in the state, KTR remarked that in the name of enhancing the Musi river’s appeal, the homes of the poor, tribal lands in Lagacharla, and even properties of the Hyderabad Central University are being targeted. He accused the 'Anumula Brothers' of seizing industrial lands under the guise of the HILT Policy, systematically plundering the state’s resources.
KTR asserted that Revanth Reddy’s primary objective is to ‘exploit’ Telangana for personal gain and transport resources to Delhi to safeguard his position. He urged the citizens to remain vigilant against what he termed the Congress government’s tactics, which he believes are diverting the public’s hard-earned resources and jeopardizing the state’s future.
