Bengaluru, Nov 8 (NationPress) Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H. D. Kumaraswamy has accused the Congress party of securing victory in the recent Assembly elections in Karnataka through vote manipulation.
“It is inappropriate for the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister to level accusations against the BJP regarding vote theft. The very individuals making these claims attained power through vote theft. If that were not true, how could they have accurately predicted winning 136 seats?” he stated during a media briefing after inaugurating the Ernakulam–KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express at the Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station in Bengaluru.
He emphasized that it is the Congress that has engaged in vote theft, yet they are now criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Kumaraswamy further questioned, “Did Modi resort to ‘stealing votes’ to secure 67 seats for the BJP in Karnataka? Congress leaders are misleading the public with these unfounded claims. The citizens of the state are grappling with numerous critical issues; they should focus on that.”
He condemned the joint press conference conducted by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, alleging it was merely a platform to propagate falsehoods about vote theft.
“This behavior is nothing more than pettiness. The citizens of Karnataka have seen the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister making groundless allegations. They are using such topics solely to distract the public. The day when the people decisively remove the Congress from power is drawing near.”
In response to inquiries about Shivakumar's absence from the Vande Bharat reception, Kumaraswamy remarked that Shivakumar is too occupied with vote-theft politics to address development issues.
Describing the notion of vote theft as a significant fabrication created by Congress for propaganda, he claimed, “For two and a half years, they have squandered time on such trivial matters. For the next two and a half years, they will accomplish nothing.”
